Sasha Das Gupta Sasha has lived Newham for 21 years, she has a strong commitment to her local community. A dedicated socialist and community activist, Sasha has worked on many local campaigns, including Newham’s Anti-Academy campaign. Sasha is passionate about supporting local residents and improving the quality of life for the many. She wants to ensure socialist ideas and values have a voice in the council chamber.
Anam Islam Anam has lived with his family in Forest Gate for more than 30 years. He has been a Forest Gate Councillor since July 2016.
He is an active trade unionist and civil rights campaigner, Anam’s priorities are the quality of local services, supporting local communities and ensuring Newham is a great place where families and young people can thrive.
Rachel Tripp Rachel lives in Forest Gate with her husband and three girls A passionate advocate for Forest Gate and Newham, Rachel has particular interests in planning sustainable transport and community involvement.
Rachel helped set up Newham Living Streets, a local group to advocate for walking in Newham. Her previous professional experience includes working in policy, communications, local government and the public sector.
